There’s a new show out right now called
Work of Art: The Next Great Artist on Bravo. It’s a reality tv show similar to Project Runway but for visual artists. Finally! A reality tv show that I’ll actually want to watch.

Gorgeous.
Let’s try this again! I don’t know how to stop this blog linking to my tumblr, which in turn links to my facebook! I wouldn’t mind if the link would display the photo along with it, but of course it doesn’t…
Oh, and this is what my studio looks like when I’m getting ready for an exhibition!! Messy, and the floor is covered. Don’t ask me how I manage to find anything but I do.
So I went a little blog crazy and now have three blogs. Why you ask? Well not everyone is subscribed to tumblr, or wordpress, or typepad. There’s still Blogger and Blogspot and so many others I won’t waste my time listing… I decided to expand my internet base by inserting myself and images of my work throughout many different outlets, so more people have access. I just want my shit shown. Ya know? But I got a little link crazy when I realized that I could link different blogs to each other and to facebook and to twitter.. Well it backfired. I now have way too many posts littering my facebook page that it looks raped by myself. So this is a test to see if I fixed the problem! Wish me luck.
One of the three pieces from my wood series. This piece will be part of the exhibition showing in February! Along with 3 other mixed media pieces. I will be uploading photos very soon!
The drawing that I made for my boyfriend for his birthday!
4×6 inches.
graphite on Stonehenge.
2009.
I still don’t think it looks like myself but it does look just like him!!
I want to make a mobile like this one! How gorgeous…
So I’ve decided to wander the wonderful world wide web. I’ve now branched out and found a new blogging outlet. WordPress will give me a chance to expand my viewer pool, or at least that is the intention!

I’ve spent the last few days putting long hard hours into creating a website for myself. After two failed attempts at finding a reliable individual who is knowledgeable in the graphic design field, I decided to use a free web service that allows me to edit the free templates that are already available. This gives me a chance to upload my own photos whenever I choose and to keep it up-to-date. And you know, I must say, I think it looks damn good. It gives my fans access to everything they could possibly want to know about me as an artist and the work that I do. I even added a links page that I will fill with fellow artists who I find an inspiration to me and my work as well as those who I am friends with. So enjoy!
La Femme.
An exhibition by Stacy Stranzl.
Eleanor Winters Art Gallery.
February 15-19.
La Femme is a study of the female figure, her ever-changing appearance, and the feminine association within the crafting tradition. The exhibition will consist of three separate series that revolve around the aspect of what it means to be a woman in our society and her evolution through the last century. Her Perspective consists of four mixed media paintings that integrate craft materials with traditional mediums in the hopes to diffuse the implication that crafts and handiwork cannot be High Art or ‘Fine Art’. Portrait of a Woman is a series that shows the change in society’s “ideal woman” over the last century with a focus on the decorative aspect of fashion trends within specific decades (1920-2010) with 2010 being a self-portrait of me. In total there will be eight 8×10 inch drawings framed to 16×20 and hung horizontally and chronologically. Timeless Curves explores the female form, the only physical aspect that has remained constant and unchanged over the past century. It’ll consist of four nude drawings also framed to 16×20.
